Berry Systems Model maker: Line-Design
The crash barriers, all made in brass etchings by our Custom Etching team, worked like the real product ie the radiused uprights sprung back into position. All the barriers in the interior were brass etched & floors & uprights in mdf/timber. The exterior panels are standard expanded aluminium sheet. The frame around each is a standard plastic channel. The model has been invaluable at exhibitions around the country to demonstrate the modular parking system, Berry Systems.

Comelypark Place Model maker: John McKenna
'The order arrived really fast, and the slates made the model I was making for my Mums 88th birthday much more real looking.' 'Is a model of the street where my Gran was born in 1889 and my Mum in 1923 and myself in 1955.'
'It's long gone now that's the reason I made it for her, a bit of nostalgia. It's my first attempt at something like this, I'm happy with the way it turned out.' John used our 1:24 Slate Tiles on his model. |

5 inch BL gun Model maker: David Martin
This model is of a 5 inch BL gun Number 546 fired by my grandfather Henry Powell during the Boer War 1899-1902.
At 1:20 scale, it was made from scratch using plans from the original handbook. The scale was chosen with regard to the ratio of barrel diameter (1 inch), angle size (4mm) and rivet diameter (062 inch). No apology for mixing up metric and imperial measurements, but I was aware of sizes available. All plastic sheets, angles and sections and glue, paint and sandstone flags were obtained from 4D modelshop. Your staff gave meaningful advice freely and are you a credit to the model making family. I am grateful for the advice I received each time I visited your shop. |
